A large duplex located on property owned by Plymouth Congregational Church, 4126 Ingersoll Ave., has been stripped of its copper pipes.The property at 4018-4020 Ingersoll Ave., has been vacant for about two years.Burglars removed all of the copper pipe and tubing, ripping it from walls and ceilings. They also tore out fixtures. Church officials did not know when the theft occurred. It was reported on Wednesday.Thieves have been taking copper and other metals this spring to sell as scrap.Also on Wednesday, another theft of copper was reported at 3202 East University Ave. The house at that location is being remodeled.
Council Bluffs police are investigating a fatal crash on Interstate Highway 80 at the bridge crossing at Indian Creek.Officers said it was a single vehicle accident.The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle. She has been identified as Lori Rosas, 28, of Omaha.The crash occurred shortly after 1 a.m. Preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle was eastbound when it struck a guardrail on the south side of the bridge and swerved across three lanes into a concrete bridge railing.The accident remains under investigation.

The last U.S.prison that is on a island in alaska has been closed down. It was opened before Washington even became a state.
a hawk attacked a human
A hawk dived into a yard and attacked a general. The hawk was gaurding a nest in the front yard of his florida lawn.
sex offender said to be crazy and can be released
A convicted sex offender is found incopetent to stand trial. He is said to be no danger to the society. He will be released. He was found guilty for mulestation.
